Founder & Managing Attorney
Alliana Stiller is the founder and managing attorney of Stiller Law, a Houston-based boutique law practice providing strategic corporate and cross-border legal counsel to businesses, investors, and family enterprises. With more than 20 years of experience in corporate law, energy and infrastructure projects, private equity, and cross-border transactions, she advises clients on complex legal and commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions.
Throughout her career, Alliana has held senior in-house and advisory roles with global organizations, including serving as General Counsel for EY in Russia and the CIS, Head of Corporate and Commercial Legal for Sakhalin Energy Investment Company (a US$22 billion LNG and energy infrastructure project led by Shell), and Legal & Investment Director at a private equity firm with over US$2 billion under management. In these roles, she advised boards and executive leadership on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance, regulatory compliance, and risk management, and led legal teams of up to 30+ lawyers across multiple jurisdictions.
In addition to her institutional and energy-sector background, Alliana previously served as a Partner at a Singapore-based multi-family office and corporate advisory firm, where she advised high-net-worth individuals and family enterprises on complex legal and structural matters. Her work included mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, governance, investment structuring, and cross-border asset coordination. This experience provides her with deep insight into the legal and commercial dynamics of closely held businesses and private capital structures, and continues to inform her approach to advising founders, family-owned businesses, and private investors.
At Stiller Law, Alliana serves as outside general counsel to operating companies, providing ongoing legal support in corporate governance, commercial contracting, shareholder and ownership matters, real estate, energy and infrastructure transactions, and complex cross-border business issues. She is known for combining rigorous legal analysis with practical business judgment, helping clients navigate transactions, regulatory environments, and strategic decisions efficiently and effectively.
Her professional background spans both civil law and common law systems, making her particularly well suited to advising multinational businesses and investors. In addition to her U.S. practice, she provides expert analysis on Russian law and advises clients and legal teams on cross-border legal and regulatory matters involving multiple jurisdictions.
